00:00Urgent repairs near Ashfield Station where those signal issues first occurred have been
00:08repaired.
00:09Sydney trains had a crew out on the tracks fixing those issues, which they've managed
00:13to do.
00:14But the issue now is getting the timetable back on schedule.
00:18Once a train is delayed, it creates a flow-on effect for every other train in operation
00:23behind it.
00:24So passengers commuting on the T1, T2, T3 as well as the T9 lines will be impacted
00:32by these delays.
00:34We've been speaking to a few people here at Central Station and some people are going
00:38about their day just like any other ordinary day.
00:41They haven't experienced any disruption.
00:44But others have experienced delays of up to two hours.
00:48I spoke to one family, a mother and a stepdaughter who had travelled in from Newcastle to spend
00:54the day with her mother and those plans were completely ruined when these unexpected delays
00:59came about earlier this morning.
01:01Here's what they had to say when they vented their frustration.
01:04Well, I caught a train at nearly 9.30 from Parramatta and it's taken me almost two hours
01:11to get to Central.
01:13So I was on the train sitting there, we'd go one station and stop, one more station
01:18and stop.
01:19It was disgusting.
01:22Replacement buses have been put on the T8 and T9 lines and people are being encouraged
01:27to go to the Sydney Trains website to check where there are delays and where these replacement
01:33transport options have been put up for people that might be impacted.
01:38And it's still unclear when exactly they'll have these issues resolved.
01:42Like I said earlier, it's all about the timetabling schedule now and getting that back on track
01:47as people finish their work week and head into the weekend.
01:51Thanks for watching.
01:52See you next time.
01:53Bye.
