00:00Hey Mayor. What's happening? How are you? Good. Just back to the ICE arrest. To this point no
00:07charges have been filed. This person remains in custody. What would you, I know
00:13you're not going to give your opinion, but what would you tell a group of
00:18pro-Palestinian people who want to protest and don't intend on causing any
00:23harm or violence? What would you tell them if they're scared now seeing what
00:28has happened where there's to this point no evidence produced of a crime here?
00:32What would you say to people who are afraid of protesting in your city now
00:37because of what happened? Well, no, it's our city and a lot of New Yorkers are
00:42concerned about some of the terminologies that are being used. Someone burned the
00:46American flag the other day and they said the only American flag that's a
00:50good flag, something like that, is one that's burnt. My uncle defended this
00:55country and I don't believe that. And many Americans don't believe that. And
00:59those anti-Israel protesters, I saw some of the pamphlets that were on Columbia
01:05University ground called about the destruction of America. I saw some of the
01:11anti-semitic terminologies that are being used and so we will always have to
01:17stomach comments like that because that's what this country is. But we don't
01:21know the full scope of this investigation and as a former law
01:24enforcement person, I know that there are parts of an investigation that's
01:29beyond our understanding. Let the process take its course. That's why the federal
01:33government is in charge of deportation and they should be in charge of
01:37deportation. I believe that.
