Can Daniel Levy take blame for mismanagement at Spurs?

A look at the hierarchy at Spurs and where they stand.

00:00And finally, just on the hierarchy, as you mentioned Daniel Levy there, I mean, from

00:06the outside looking in, there must be an issue there in terms of getting managers in, not

00:12backing them at the right times because, as we've said, you've had managers who've been

00:17at the elite level in European football, you know, Jocondes, Mourinhos, they've won all

00:22these things, league titles, Champions Leagues. Surely the ownership has some blame to take

00:29in terms of their appointments and their options to not back or back different managers. Where

00:36do you sort of, you know, obviously you have the protests at the moment as well. What's

00:41the sort of impetus towards Levy and the hierarchy at the club and how you can see them getting

00:47on in the future as well?

00:48Well, I mean, I think the sort of temperature at the moment is I think, you know, a lot

00:54of the fan base want the manager out, more of the fan base want the chairman out. And

00:58then this all translates back onto the pitch. You know, the atmosphere in the stadium on

01:03the Bournemouth game was, you know, it was just so flat, you know, it was so flat. And

01:08you could tell the anxiety was translating onto the pitch as well with some of the noises

01:13that were coming out. So, you know, the whole thing has just been disconnected. And, you

01:19know, I think I was watching the Jim Radcliffe interview with Gary Neville and he was, you

01:24know, very frank interview, lots of mistakes. Obviously, he's under a lot of pressure as

01:27well at Manchester United, but actually an owner coming out and just facing up and talking

01:32about the problems and the mistakes that they're making, you know, you actually have a little

01:35bit more respect and just get a bit of insight into the club and the goings on and what,

01:40you know, the club are trying to achieve. Daniel Levy is a very private figure. He very,

01:43very rarely comes out and addresses anything. And when he does do the fans forums, it's

01:47obviously highly controlled and vetted in terms of the questions. It'd be really, really

01:51nice just to get a view from Daniel Levy. Where are we as a club? Where does he want

01:56to be? And where do we go from here? You know, and I think, you know, that would not

02:02appease a lot of fans, you know, because he's made some mistakes. He hasn't backed managers

02:05when he should have backed. You know, we're trying to pay £25 million for a player instead

02:10of putting that £30 million on the table and getting the deal over the line. And if

02:13things take too long, you know, we're a very, very well-run club and the facilities are,

02:17you know, world class. You know, we've got the best stadium in the league and it's outstanding.

02:22And the work that he's done, you know, should be praised on that basis. But on the pitch

02:25is where it really matters and on the pitch is where we're failing. And for the last three

02:29or four years, you know, things have been getting worse and getting worse and slowly

02:33been, you know, going backwards. So we want to now hear from him. What's the plan to address

02:38that and what are we going to do in the summer? What's the transfer budget? You know, what

02:41business are we going to try and do? Because we need, you know, a bit of reuniting, I think

02:45now is the key to all of this. But the radio silence is just not good for anyone.
