The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has seized 300 bags of rice from 213 packaging and manufacturing premises inspected during Ops Campur.  The ministry's enforcement director-general Datuk Azman Adam said the inspections carried out on Monday (March 10) led to 48 investigation papers being opened, involving 48 of the premises inspected. 01:14In terms of actions that we take, it is the same.

01:17So, we also need to think that we need to wait for the decision from the side that made this survey,

01:25that is, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Chemistry.

01:27Okay, if the Ministry of Environment is guilty,

01:29any side that is guilty in carrying out this mixed operation,

01:34they will be fined up to RM100,000 per individual,

01:41while for the company, they can be fined up to RM250,000.

01:47That is the first crime.

01:49So, we will continue this operation.

01:53And my message is, aside from the industry side,

01:57so that we can provide cooperation to the users as well,

02:01give room for the KPDN officers to carry out this task.

02:07And yesterday, we received a commitment from the Mardi side to carry out this test as soon as possible,

02:16so that we can know the decision.

02:18And if there is a need for legal process, prosecution, etc.,

02:23we will carry it out as soon as possible.

02:25And if the industry also needs to make improvements or corrections to the existing problems,

02:32they can also do that even better.

02:35So, that is what we expect, the results that we expect from the mixed operation this time.

02:43We have almost all the people who have carried out the operation correctly,

02:47but we have to see that the exercise this time is related to the mixing of local rice and imported rice.

02:55But if from our research,

02:59let's say it is only imported, it is not involved in the purchase of local rice, etc.

03:05So, we will also do a prediction, we will also take a sample.

03:09But overall, in this ecosystem, I think there are about 2,000 premises that will be involved in the exercise this time.
