00:00The next couple of months are absolutely pivotal for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

00:04Starting with NFL free agency this week, the team has some major holes to fill.

00:08If they want to contend in 2025.

00:11Today, we're going to make three bold predictions that if they come true, we'll

00:15have the Steelers back where they want to be next season.

00:21Hey everyone, Rob Gregson of ADZ Sports Pittsburgh.

00:24And today let's make three predictions of what you want to see from the

00:29Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency.

00:31Look, the discussion, it really starts and ends at quarterback.

00:35As of recording, there's still a lot of options.

00:38Of course, Russell Wilson or Justin Fields could be re-signed.

00:41Aaron Rodgers is on the market and so is Sam Darnold, as he is not expected

00:46to go back to the Minnesota Vikings.

00:48So what's going to happen?

00:49The Steelers are going to go all in.

00:51They're going to swing big and they're going to sign Sam

00:54Darnold to a multi-year contract.

00:57And I know that's going to get some pushback, but let's be real.

00:59Out of those four options that we just named, who's the one that's

01:03coming off a Pro Bowl season?

01:05Who is the one that had the best season of his career, led the team

01:08to a 14-3 record in Minnesota?

01:11That's right.

01:11It's Sam Darnold.

01:12Who's only 27 years old and can be a bridge quarterback at the

01:16very worst for two to three years.

01:18That's right.

01:19It's Sam Darnold.

01:20If the Steelers are going to contend, they need a viable quarterback

01:24option and Sam Darnold is the best of the rest.

01:27Sam Darnold, or whoever's that quarterback, has to have

01:30somebody to throw to.

01:31So the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to acquire a Pro Bowl wide receiver.

01:37That's our prediction.

01:39Whether that's a trade for DK Metcalf, the signing of Devontae

01:43Adams, or looking elsewhere, this team has to go all in on the perimeter

01:48position opposite of George Pickens.

01:51They just simply are not explosive enough, not dynamic enough, and those

01:55two names would help them go over the top in what they want to do.

02:00And lastly, expect the Steelers to go all in at corner.

02:05There are a lot of free agent names to watch, but one name that has surfaced

02:11recently is Jair Alexander, who at this point, the Packers are

02:16having a tough time trading.

02:17He might get cut outright.

02:20A two-time Pro Bowler at only 28 years old, that's great in-man coverage.

02:25He would make this Steelers secondary great again.

02:29And that's what they need at all three spots.

02:32Three big predictions.

02:33Let's see if the Steelers can get it done.
