UST’s Detdet Pepito juggles UAAP, internship   UST Golden Tigresses' Detdet Pepito shared how she balances her teaching internship and student-athlete life in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament.  Taking up elementary education, Pepito, the reigning best libero, logged eight digs and eight receptions as UST rolled to its fifth straight win at Ateneo's expense, 25-20, 25-23, 25-21, at the Mall of Asia Arena on March 9, 2025. 00:39I teach grade 3.

00:44The things that help kids.

00:54Yes.

00:55Actually, all of them.

00:56All of the kids.

00:58I was helped by Ma'am Valedan, my cooperating teacher.

01:03She helped me avoid being a player.

01:09So when I'm there, I'm really a teacher.

01:14Where do you teach?

01:16I'll tell you.

01:17Just kidding.

01:19Juan helped me at SM San Lazaro.

01:23Do you see any similarities?

01:26Or are you happy when you're playing volleyball and teaching kids?

01:31Of course.

01:33It's the same.

01:34I'm happy, but I'm also angry.

01:37They're both the same.

01:39The kid is just more annoying.

01:41Compared to your teammates?

01:43Yes.

01:44My teammates are nice.
