00:00The Department of Agriculture has already issued a statement for the maximum suggested retail price of pork based on the help of the DA,

00:10led by Secretary Francisco T. Laurel Jr. and stakeholders on the price of pork MSRP.

00:17The MSRP per kilo of pork shoulder or kasim is P350 while pork belly or liempo is P380.

00:25It will be effective starting March 10 in Metro Manila.

00:29This will start on Monday and there will be a periodic review and it will start after a month that the MSRP will be established on Monday.

00:41Our DTI, the PNP, will visit the markets to see the compliance from next week.

00:51Stakeholders favor the MSRP of pork for lowering the price of pork in the market.

00:57The assumption is that everyone will be happy with the price.

01:00From farmgate to travelers, traders, retailers, the P380 for pork belly and P350 for pork shoulder.

01:08Everyone will be happy with the price because none of the sectors are cutting the price.

01:14Another thing that is lowering the price of pork is the price of farmgate.

01:19From the P250 average, now it's just P230.

01:24P100 to P120 is enough for the profit margin between pork traders and retailers.

01:30The maximum of P300 per kilo will also be implemented for pork shoulder or the price from traders to retailers.

01:38According to the Ministry of Agriculture, pork MSRP implementation is only in Metro Manila.

01:44But the cost structure in other regions is being studied so that the MSRP can be issued here.
