00:07M61 motorway closed and drivers facing long delays and diversions after coach burst into flames.

00:14The M61 is closed on the northbound carriageway between junctions 1 and 2 on the M60.

00:21Traffic has been stopped on the busy motorway and a closure put in place while emergency services are at the scene.

00:28Fire crews and police are currently managing the incident.

00:34Owners of the plough in Staining announced closure due to cost of living crisis and poor health.

00:41The owners of a popular pub in Staining have announced they will be retiring due to the cost of living crisis and poor health.

00:49The plough on Chain Lane will close its doors on Sunday March 9th.

00:56The owners cited the cost of living crisis and poor health as the main reasons behind the decision.

01:03In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, a spokesperson for the pub said

01:07it's not been an easy decision to make but with utilities doubling in price,

01:11the cost of living crisis and poor health, it's left me no choice but to close.

01:18Planners make decisions on an outdoor drinking area at a cavo bar in Poulton.

01:23Wine Bar Cavo on Breck Road has also been granted permission for a canopy on the site.

01:30The application was for the retrospective change of use of the land to the rear of the site

01:35for use as an ancillary outdoor drinking area and the proposed erection of an acoustic glass canopy.

01:42The proposals went before WIRE's planning committee today, Wednesday March 5th,

01:47when councillors agreed with the recommendations of the planning officer.

01:51Cavo is one of many licensed premises on busy Breck Road and part of the town's vibrant night-time economy.

02:00The canopy will run from the rear boundary wall across the garden to the rear annex wall of 18 Breck Road,

02:05measuring approximately 10.4 by 7 metres and covering the majority of the area furthest north within the outdoor area.

02:15Decisions are bid to add almost 90,000 new residents to Preston in major expansion.

02:20Controversial plans to expand Preston's borders have been abandoned.

02:25The idea of creating a Greater Preston Council area by drawing in parts of neighbouring

02:30South Ribble Wire and Ribble Valley was first floated in December.

02:35As the Lancashire Post revealed at the time, Preston City Council approached the government

02:41with the suggestion which would have seen 89,000 residents added to the city's population,

02:47taking the total to around 250,000.

02:50The Blueprint proposed that Penrhythm, Longton, Bamber Bridge and Samlesbury

02:56move into Preston from South Ribble along with Garstang from Wire and Longridge, Mellow and Boulderstone from Ribble Valley.
