00:00An all-expense paid trip out of the country for exotic rest and recreation, or a much-needed vacation?

00:07An irresistible offer that's just too good to be true.

00:11In truth, it's a human trafficking scheme hatched by ex-POGO operators to recruit innocent and naive Filipinos

00:19into scam activities like the dozen Filipinas duped into flying to Thailand and now needing help to return,

00:27as our Danielle Manalistas reports.

00:31At first glance, it looks like just an ordinary travel advertisement,

00:36offering an all-expense paid travel with limited slots, such as this free trip to Thailand.

00:43Little did you know, according to Senator Risa Conte-Ferros, that this is just a new and likely POGO-linked modus.

01:00The problem now, according to Conte-Ferros, is a number of Filipinos have been victimized by this modus,

01:18the most prominent being 12 Filipinos waiting to be rescued in Myanmar.

01:23Conte-Ferros admitted there are many challenges in the way of the country turning POGO-free.

01:29Last month or early this month, our anti-POGO bill was approved.

01:36The EO issued a complaint to give a bribe to the announced POGO ban

01:46and to continue the law enforcement operations.

01:50But obviously, it's still not enough.

01:53Meanwhile, in light of the POGO ban,

01:55Senate President Francis Espodero suggested to look also into the PIGO or the Philippine Inland Gaming Operations.
