Go asks local officials to 'protect democracy' on People Power revolution anniversary  PDP-Laban re-electionist Sen. Bong Go, in a message to local officials in Pasay City, urged them to 'protect democracy' and relive the sacrifices of many Filipinos during the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution on its 39th anniversary on Feb. 25, 2025. 00:09I hope we can always celebrate the great sacrifice of our citizens

00:16so that democracy can return to our country.

00:20Let us remember, we must protect democracy at all times.

00:25The true meaning of Edsa is not just a celebration every February,

00:30it is a reminder that when the Filipinos grow up,

00:35we can achieve change more quickly.

00:38Edsa is an ideal, a spirit that should live every day in our hearts and minds.

00:46That is why, my fellow countrymen, let us love and care for our fellow Filipinos,

00:55especially our poor fellow countrymen.

00:58Let us not neglect them.

01:02The unity of every Filipino is important

01:05so that whatever trials our fellow Filipinos face,

01:09we can overcome them as a strong nation.

01:13We will go far if we have unity.
