00:53She worked there for more than three years in an electronics company.

01:28Catherine and Rogen were among the thousands of applicants

01:31who went to the OFW Bagong Pilipinas Servicio Caravan in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

01:37Different jobs in Japan, Taiwan, and several countries in Europe

01:41were allocated to the OFW Bagong Pilipinas Servicio Caravan by 20 accredited Philippine Recruitment Agencies.

01:51Their goal is to make the programs and services of the Department of Migrant Workers

01:56available to Filipinos and their families here in Region 3.

02:05This is anchored in the Directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

02:09to protect the rights of OFWs.

02:13In the interview of Radyo Pilipinas,

02:15Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Kakdaka said

02:19that they will explain to the Recruitment Agencies

02:22the correct process of applying abroad.

02:25This is to avoid being victimized by illegal recruiters and human traffickers.

02:31The first thing is the knowledge of having the right job.

02:36Meaning, the process of recruiting is not to be taken lightly

02:45or our countrymen will be victimized by illegal recruiters

02:50because we have legal recruitment agencies with us.

02:54Some of the services provided by the agency are pre-employment,

02:58welfare and legal assistance, and reintegration programs.

03:02The two agreements are also included in the Caravan.

03:05First, the Memorandum of Agreement between the DMW,

03:09Department of Labor and Employment Region 3,

03:12TESDA Region 3, and the Provincial Government of Pampanga

03:15on providing jobs and upskilling programs to OFWs.

03:20And the agreement between the OFW Hospital,

03:24Jose V. Lingad Memorial General Hospital,

03:26DOH Region 3, and the Provincial Government of Pampanga

03:30on providing healthcare services for OFWs.

03:34The DMW National Reintegration Center for OFWs

03:37will provide financial and livelihood assistance

03:41to 100 beneficiaries of the Action Fund and Livelihood Program for Overseas Reintegration.

03:47Some government agencies are also included in the program,

03:50including the Department of Foreign Affairs,

03:53National Bureau of Investigation, and Overseas Filipino Bank.
