00:00The Quezon City LGU launched the 4 o'clock Contra-Mosquito Program.

00:04It is part of their effort to fight against the high cases of dengue in the city.

00:09This is Harley Valbuena of PTV in Balitang Pambansang.

00:21The 4 o'clock Contra-Mosquito Program of the Department of Health in Quezon City has been launched.

00:29This is a campaign to destroy or eliminate mosquito breeding sites.

00:34That is why Health Secretary Ted Herbosa and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte

00:40led the campaign to evacuate the Batasan Hills Barangay.

00:43The two officials want to show the cleanliness of the places where mosquitoes can be found

00:49such as gutters, dams, and water containers.

00:54The officials also went inside the houses so that the residents can have a personal discussion

00:59about fighting against dengue.

01:03If the surroundings are clean, first of all, remove the things that can cause mosquito bites.

01:09Second, always check the family.

01:14Member of the family, for example, if you have a bad feeling, a fever, or whatever,

01:21if it's been two days, be aware.

01:23According to the DOH, there are almost 44,000 cases of dengue in the country this year.

01:31The highest cases are in Metro Manila, Calabar Zone, and Central Zone.

01:36In Quezon City, where there is a dengue outbreak,

01:40there are already 11 cases because of dengue this year.

01:44The 4 o'clock Contra-Mosquito Program was also launched in different parts of the country.
