00:00I was wondering if we could have a little chat.
00:03What was the first thing that popped in your head
00:05when you heard the show was coming back?
00:06Do you know what it was?
00:07Chantilly?
00:08Yeah.
00:09Damn it, Vincent's right.
00:11It's true.
00:12Yay.
00:13Damn it.
00:15It's not entirely unpleasant seeing you again.
00:19I could say the same about you.
00:20We got an early script and they had come up with the idea
00:24of like, we want to bring you guys together early on
00:27and then again later, much later.
00:29So we have this idea.
00:30We sat down with Dario and the directors, Aaron and Justin,
00:34and they had an early draft of that scene
00:36and we workshopped it for hours.
00:38One of the things that we came up with was
00:40we think there should be a moment of levity
00:42at the top of the scene where we seem like friends,
00:45where there's laughter, there's humor, there's something,
00:47and then it can get nasty.
00:48It's a cool moment.
00:50If you step out of line, I will be there.
00:53So Eldon, I don't know about you,
00:55but after five years of being away from these characters,
00:58was there a challenge in coming back to it?
01:01I don't think so.
01:02I thoroughly enjoy playing Foggy, you know?
01:05There's a lot of aspects to him
01:07that I sort of strive for myself in my life.
01:10It sort of felt natural to fall back into it.
01:13There's always that danger, I think,
01:14sometimes when you take time away from a character
01:16that you come back and you're doing an impression
01:19of yourself as you used to.
01:21Five years allowed me to go,
01:23oh, well, she's grown and changed, right?
01:25This is a new version of this character,
01:28so she doesn't actually have to be exactly like or similar.
01:31My favorite thing about playing Foggy
01:33is just the connection with the fans
01:35and how much they love it and how excited they get.
01:37You know what I mean?
01:38That really is kind of special.
01:40Didn't something happen to you?
01:41Someone came up to you and they were really mad?
01:43Oh, yes.
01:44What was that again?
01:45It was like people would stop me on the street
01:46and they were like, why are you mad?
01:48I'm mad for being a superhero.
01:50You should think that's awesome.
01:52Cool, thanks for the notes, you know?
01:55That's a good point.
01:56A lot of these people absolutely hate you.
02:02I can bring back events from my own life
02:04and use them in him all the time.
02:07You know, I love that.
02:08He's very, very sensitive, very vulnerable
02:11in his own kind of crazy, narcissist way.
02:14You are all here to help me execute simple promises.
02:18I guess the answer is he's just a great character.
02:20Yeah.
02:21I've been really lucky that he's been written so well.
02:23In real life, I'm like such a people pleaser.
02:26Really, like, care what people think.
02:29And I love that Matt doesn't at all.
02:31It's kind of quite empowering.
02:32It's also really fun to be a superhero.
02:34You can kind of lean into the bad stuff, as it were,
02:37like character flaws, temper,
02:39or being too aggressive or too violent at times
02:42and crossing over those lines.
02:43No!
02:44Because you're ultimately playing a superhero
02:46and you ultimately will come good in the end,
02:47it's kind of, that duality is really fun.
02:50Well then, we really do understand each other.
02:52Well done.
02:53LAUGHTER
