00:00Today you have a situation where you have a very proactive, dynamic chief minister,
00:08what 90,000 crore refinery will come up there?
00:12When I had the privilege of hosting the honourable chief minister, my residents along with other
00:18political colleagues etc, your chief secretary then I think mentioned that he says that wherever
00:23a refinery comes up, you know there is lot of economic growth that takes place.
00:27So I said how do you know?
00:28He said my father used to work for IOCL.
00:31I mean I know because I am petroleum and natural gas minister and I know that wherever refineries
00:36are there, it's not the people who work in the refinery, it's not the people who work
00:40around the refinery.
00:42Hundreds of kilometres around that area in the periphery, hinterland, economic activity
00:48goes up and I am very happy that in a short period of time, the Andhra government and
00:53BPCL have worked out, land has been allocated, some of my friends who are from Andhra little
00:59unhappy because they wanted it in their constituency but you know ultimately the choice has to
01:04be taken by the state government along with that because it's a question of most suitable
01:09place.
01:10Land has been allocated, I think 6000 crores has also been approved for doing.
01:15Again I would say this is an excellent example of cooperation between the state government
01:19and the centre and considerable credit should be given to the chief minister who has pursued
01:24it from the day go and I think from our centre, the prime minister is equally committed to
01:29it and things will be moving very fast.
