00:00I've just done a photo shoot in celebration of me winning Miss Philippines Great Britain
00:05and for me to advertise that I'm going forward to go for Miss Universe if I win Miss Great Britain.
00:11I was walking around a barrow fiesta we have in Philippines and we do them in England
00:16and I was just walking around the stalls seeing what there was and I got stopped and asked if
00:21I was interested in doing a pageant if I've ever done one before and then I had a talk with my
00:25mum and my family and they said go for it and so I ended up going for the pageant and by some
00:32miracle I won. At first I was flattered honestly I couldn't believe it I was like oh me because I
00:38was looking around there's so many stunning girls and I thought me out of everyone. All my friends
00:43are saying you'd never have guessed from the girl that we know going to her lectures getting all of
00:50her spreadsheets out and writing all these numbers in to then at the weekend putting on a ball gown
00:56and nice long heels and putting her hair up in a nice updo like it's such a nice change because
01:03it's a bit it's something different it's it takes you out of reality I feel like the pageant world
01:08it's it's an escape. Before I did pageants I couldn't speak to people I was so nervous couldn't
01:14do it but when I got on stage and they said here's a microphone I'm going to ask you any
01:21question at random and you give us your answer it did shove me in the deep end quite a bit
01:27but I feel like because I did it and I did it well it's giving me a reason to go why why am I
01:33not outspoken why am I not just speaking when I want to speak I've got a voice why can't I use it
01:40and so I definitely feel like pageants have taught me like
01:43you have your confidence within you you just needed that little push.
