00:00The Presidential Task Force on Media Security accepted the latest report of the non-government organization,

00:06the Committee to Protect Journalists,

00:08which claims that there are no Filipino journalists in the Philippines last year.

00:13According to PT FOMS Executive Director Jose Torres Jr.,

00:16this is a huge step in the government's continued efforts to ensure the safety and security of every journalist in the country.

00:24He also insisted on the assistance of various government agencies,

00:28such as law enforcement agencies, media organizations, and civil society

00:32to ensure a safe place for journalists.

00:36PT FOMS also recognizes the efforts of all those who help to maintain freedom of the press

00:43and to protect media professionals.

00:45Torres said that their agencies will continue to monitor the security of the media in the country.

00:50They will also continue to monitor all kinds of threats against journalists,

00:55including online attacks, intimidation, and other forms of violence.
