00:00The three leaders of the DAP have drawn attention from the election of the Central Executive Office of the party next month,

00:07National Councilor Tan Kok Wai, National Councilor Fong Kui Lun, and the veteran party Pi Bun Poh.

00:14In a joint statement today, Tan and Fong stated that the decision not to compete

00:19is to give room to the new generation of leaders to play more important roles in party leadership.

00:27They stressed that the DAP has good leadership skills,

00:31in addition to believing that the ranks of the party's main leaders are able to dominate the future of the DAP with excellence.

00:39In a joint statement, Pi thanked the DAP for his nomination,

00:44but said he would draw attention to give room to the next generation of leaders.

00:51Their interest lies in the midst of a warming DAP election campaign.

00:57Recently, a group of veteran leaders claimed to have a deep state in the party

01:02aimed at weakening the influence of the DAP's leader Lim Guan Eng and his team.

01:07Meanwhile, DAP leader Ronny Liu also expressed disappointment at the party's administration's actions

01:13which determined that any representatives who did not comply with the party's position on basic issues

01:19would lose their membership automatically.
