00:00Senate Minority Leader Coco Pimentel convoked the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte to Senate President Chief Escudero.
00:09Pimentel proposed a provision in the 1987 Constitution that the Senate should proceed with the trial
00:17if the articles of impeachment received from the Camera.
00:21Before this, a petition was submitted to the Supreme Court for the Senate to pass
00:26the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
00:29The SC ordered the Senate to comment within 10 days.
00:34Escudero did not object.
00:36But he said before that the impeachment trial cannot start while the Senate or Congress session is adjourned.
00:43Some allies of Duterte's family went to the Supreme Court to support the impeachment complaint
00:50and to stop the impeachment trial.
00:52The Camera did not follow the correct process.
00:56House Secretary General Reginald Velasco called for a moot or no longer necessary petition.
