00:00We're European leaders gathering here in Paris on Monday. Two key themes on the agenda for

00:08their summits. Collective security, how they are going to likely have to spend more money

00:14on defence, increase the size of their armed forces and take more responsibility for collective

00:19security because in the wake of the changing politics from the United States, the Trump

00:25administration likely to reform the guarantor of security, that role that the US has been

00:32playing as the backstop to Europe's defence for a century now, withdrawing and reducing

00:38that support, so Europe having to discuss that. And also for the leaders, Ukraine, how

00:43to support the ongoing war effort potentially with boots on the ground in the form of British

00:49and French and other European armed forces, sending in peacekeepers if and when there

00:54is a peace agreement signed between Kiev and Moscow.
