00:23To fight malnutrition and growth shunting in the youth of Rion 12,
00:27the Department of Social Welfare and Development has already started
00:31the assessment of the possible beneficiaries
00:33for the upcoming implementation of the first 1,000 days program
00:37or F1KD in the SOC Surgeon region.
00:40The F1KD is the additional benefit that is given
00:44to active Pantawid members here in Region 12.
00:49Our goal is to avoid malnutrition or the problem of shunting
00:56because according to our research,
00:593 out of 10 Filipino children experience malnutrition.
01:05Under the F1KD program,
01:07mothers and their babies
01:11and children between the ages of 1 to 2 years old
01:13will receive up to P300 and P50 aid each month
01:17to meet the needs for health and nutrition
01:21that are important in the first 1,000 days of a child's life.
01:25What we are emphasizing here
01:27is that the health-seeking behavior
01:29has increased among Pantawid members
01:31because of the help of the government.
01:35The DSWD also gave the beneficiary
01:37that they can only receive P350 each month
01:41if the conditions met.
01:44This includes prenatal check-up,
01:46birth in an accredited health facility,
01:48consultation in counseling sessions,
01:51and insurance for the child
01:54and micronutrient supplements.
01:57This is a huge help for us beneficiaries

02:04to buy medicine and milk.
02:09The DSWD is encouraging mothers or household heads
02:13to update their profiles
02:15through the iRegistro app of the DSWD
02:18to be included in the F1KD program.
