00:00I'm all in favor of the UK taking a leading role in supporting Ukraine, I think that's
00:05right. But I'm very wary about this term peacekeeping. I think we need to be clear what we mean by
00:10it. Because to me, from my background, peacekeeping means putting your forces between two potential
00:17atmospheres, and if necessary, fighting to keep them apart. So if the ceasefire broke
00:22down, would British forces then be left fighting Russian troops? Are we really ready for that?
00:28I think a better concept is something like a stabilization force, where we put forces
00:32into Ukraine, not on the front line, but working with the Ukrainians as an expression of our
00:38support, and to give Putin second thoughts before wanting to go back to military action
00:43against them.
