00:00I'm not afraid to reinvent myself. That's first. Secondly, this world operates on ideas.
00:08And if you can be the first, the best or the only, those are the three greatest chances for success.
00:17Yesterday was your birthday. Happy birthday. Yeah, I had a birthday, man. It's really
00:22I'm appreciative of God almighty for allowing me to live this long, be healthy and shape, fly.
00:32You know, look at me. I come here a lot, you know, and I love it over here. And I was just
00:38hearing so much about people and then showing me these dishes that they were making. I was
00:43kept going, well, what about barbecue? Oh, we have great barbecue. Barbecue is really
00:48a Southern American classic. They said, no, no, we have the best. Well,
00:55well, let me show you something now. So I invited some friends of mine to come over.
01:00We're going to exchange some ideas, but then it's going to be a lot of people invited from just
01:04around the world. First of all, I'm not afraid to reinvent myself. That's first. Secondly,
01:11this world operates on ideas. And if you can be the first, the best or the only,
01:19those are the three greatest chances for success. If you're the best, the first or the only.
01:25So I try to come up with stuff in one of them categories, the first one, the best one,
01:30not only one. And then I've tried to be all three of them before too, but that's been a huge part
01:36of my success. My willing to not be afraid to try new things. You have to lose your fear to
01:43be successful. The internet doesn't matter. The blogs don't matter. Politicians don't matter.
01:52I have all my faith in God. All of it. 100% is in God. And God lives within me. So no matter what
02:03happens externally, what difference does it make to me? I don't care. I get told no all the time.
02:10I come up with ideas and somebody tells me no. Well, that's because they don't understand or
02:15they don't get it. I'm going to tell it to somebody else until somebody gets it.
02:22And it's usually going to have to be a person that's a dreamer or big thinker. Because like
02:28I've often times said, if you want to kill a big dream, all you got to do is tell it to a small
02:32minded person. Joe Coy is brilliant. He's outstanding. The Golden Gloves, they're the most
02:39arrogant, pompous people in the world sitting there. It's all about them. They want to win.
02:45They want the spotlight on them. You can't entertain celebrities. It's the worst gig in
02:50the world. You're sitting there with a bunch of I, me, it's all about me. The Golden Gloves, I can't
02:56even take a gig like that. It's an instant death. And then political correctness to kill comedy.
03:01Comedy is dying to cause it. You can't say anything about anybody anymore. Everybody's
03:04offended now. It's woke. Everybody's offended. You tell a joke. Everybody's offended. Women
03:10offended. Now they got pronouns. Every different pronoun is offended. Now ain't nobody got no time
03:16for that now. I'm a businessman now. I just made the transition. I told my wife, I said,
03:23I'm going to get out of the appearance business. I'm going to get out the show up and pay me
03:27business. And I'm going to get into behind the scenes and make quiet money business.
03:33Like some things we're going to open up here in Abu Dhabi, like the
03:37Steve Harvey's Inspo Academy, which is very similar to the program I started over 15 years
03:43ago with Disney, which was the Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey. But the concept of
03:49what it was, I gave to Disney. And it'll be to inspire young people to dream and chase different
03:55career models and entrepreneurship.
