00:00With the US presidential election just under a year away, the Biden campaign has made a
00:09slight shift in its approach towards Donald Trump. They're now taking him head-on. The
00:15US president, Mr Biden, just days ago admitted for the first time that perhaps he wouldn't
00:20be running for re-election next year if it wasn't for the fact that Donald Trump is a
00:24key contender as well. Essentially, he is reminding voters of the dangers of bringing
00:29Donald Trump back into the White House and why therefore he, Mr Biden, is a safer and
00:35a better choice. This comes at a time when polls have shown a dead heat between the two
00:40in a hypothetical run-off. In fact, some polls have even shown Trump overtaking Mr Biden
00:46in polling. In other words, if the election was to be held today, it's very likely that
00:50Donald Trump would win. So, the Biden campaign is hoping that by reaching out to people and
00:56those voters in particular who are on the fence, who are not great supporters of either
01:00side, by reaching out to them and reminding them about why Trump was voted out and what
01:06he could possibly do in a second term as president, that that would be the game-changer that brings
01:11people over to their side. Whether that actually works, we'll have to wait and see. 11 months
01:16is a long time in politics and a lot more has to play out in the US campaign before the final race.
