Dubai’s Emirates Airline on Tuesday flew a special flight across the UAE to celebrate the country’s space achievements and honour its space hero, Dr Sultan Al Neyadi, following his return after the longest Arab space mission onboard the International Space Station (ISS).

Emirates chartered the one-off flight EK2641 in collaboration with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC).

00:11Emirates has chartered this flight in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center
00:15to commemorate the achievements of the UAE in the space sector and celebrate the return
00:21of our space hero, Dr. Sultan Alniadi, after the longest aerospace mission.
00:28Along with Dr. Alniadi, we have on board the UAE's very first astronaut, Hazza Al-Mansouri,
00:34as well as NASA astronauts and Russian cosmonauts who were part of the Expedition 69 along with
00:40Dr. Alniadi.
00:41With an astronaut-themed livery and a space-themed menu, this flight is flying across all the
00:49Emirates in the UAE.
00:51It's a great opportunity for everybody to be in the UAE and speak about ways to protect
00:57our planet.
00:58I think going to space gave us a vantage point and a different overview about why we need
01:05to protect the planet as a whole, as a nation, that they care about the next generations.
