Abaya Rally in Dubai: A driving force for women's empowerment

More than 200 women drove cars and bikes in a fun drive in Dubai today in support of women’s empowerment during the ‘Abaya Rally’, held as part of celebrations in the lead up to Emirati Women’s Day (August 28).  Abaya is a long traditional overgarment worn by women in the UAE and other countries. The rally stands as a tribute to the ‘Power of Abayas’, celebrating its cultural significance while uniting women from varied backgrounds. 00:23The first day, like today, is all about the Women Empowerment Drive, so we've got more

00:28registration, you know, from all different nationalities, and of course a lot of Emirati

00:32women who have come in their best of best of abayas, and are experiencing the track

00:37day, you know, they're on the track, so the bikers are there, we have SUVs, we have saloons,

00:43sports cars, you name it, like, it's there.

00:46It's the best way to celebrate the Emirati Women's Day, because it connects, you know,

00:51the women empowerment, and the culture, so well.

00:54We came here for this event, Abaya Rally, it's such an amazing event to support women,

01:00so we couldn't miss it, so we have to support women, since we are female riders.
