DEWA fetes Emirati women leaders to mark Emirati Women's Day

00:00Today we are celebrating the Emirati Women's Day Forum in its 8th cycle.

00:06I believe having a continuous forum for its 8th cycle

00:11showcases the support and the achievements of the Emirati women in different fields.

00:17We are very happy today to have this forum as a unified and sustainable platform

00:24for all Emirati women achievements.

00:26The forum consists of several sessions in which we highlighted

00:32and showcased the success of Emirati women in different sectors

00:38such as the nuclear energy, the space and the innovation and the future.

00:45On the other hand, the forum also shed the light on the success stories of Diwa women,

00:51those who were presenting their stories at Diwa Pavilion in Expo 2020

00:58and other female employees who have won the International Women in Engineering Day.

01:04It's more like a celebration of all Emirati women, a celebration of their achievements

01:10and a sustainable message for all Emirati women

01:15that this success will be sustained and will be in the current and in the future.

01:23In Diwa we are happy to have 1950 female employees

01:29and of those 1950 female employees, 83% of them are Emirati women

01:37and that's considered a very huge percentage.

01:40We have almost 700 female Emirati engineers in different fields

01:46in sustainable energy, in civil engineering, in innovation and of course in other technical fields.

01:54The Women's Committee specifically ensures that we do have a direct engagement

01:59with all of the women at Diwa by ensuring an active strategy

02:05and an active action plan throughout the full year.

02:08The latest result of the happiness rate of the women from Women's Committee achievements was 94%

02:16and that's also a well-achieved percentage in which we ensure to reach to all female employees at Diwa

02:25and ensure that their aspirations and their future plans are being engaged with.

02:32We as Emirati women are very privileged and are very happy to have such leadership

02:39that always supports the women in all of its different directions and different aspirations of the country.

02:48The message to all Emirati women that we need to step over,

02:54we need always to be pioneers in different sectors

02:57because the country is investing a lot in an Emirati woman

03:01and this is what's looking after from our leadership.

03:06The Emirati woman has proven herself in various fields and in very successful opportunities

03:14and we need to take advantage of those opportunities

03:18and utilize them to the success of the Emirati society and Emirati women specifically.
