00:00I'm Sandra, I'm 47 years old and I'm from Portugal.
00:13About this concept of grabbing medicines from the shelf, I don't totally agree because we
00:19should have an informed opinion when we buy a medicine to treat some disease.
00:26For instance, the doctor.
00:28The doctor should give the prescription or depending on the area, the nutritionist or
00:33who else is certified to do that.
00:37So a normal citizen should not go grab a medicine and do it for themselves.
00:44Also another thing to consider is when a friend tells us, oh, this medicine is really good
00:49for something.
00:51It's not because it's good for our friend that it's good for us.
00:54The body is different in the way the body reacts to a medicine.
00:58It's different.
00:59Also, despite we have the same symptoms, it's different.
01:03So in my opinion, we should have an informed opinion from someone who can prescribe and
01:08not taking medicines just because it covers symptom A, B or C.
01:13Hello, my name is Tracy.
01:18I'm from New Zealand and I've lived in Dubai for the past 22 years.
01:22I personally don't purchase over-the-counter medication.
01:26I believe that we should seek the advice of a medical professional prior.
01:32My husband has high blood pressure.
01:34So we went to the GP to consult and get his expertise and his advice on the correct dosage
01:41and what medication he should be on to keep his blood pressure in check.
01:47And then we go to the pharmacy and speak with the pharmacist, make sure that it's
01:52correct and then make the purchase.
