Hannibal's not a liar says Scott Parker after Milutin Osmajić incident

Burnley head coach Scott Parker has come out in support of his midfielder Hannibal after he accused Preston's Milutin Osmajić of saying something.

00:00Just something that was said to Hannibal, inappropriate, which he's reported.

00:06We could clearly see, obviously, he was very distressed in that moment,

00:12and tried to firstly get some context, what exactly has happened,

00:16because obviously he was very emotional, so tried to get some context on exactly what happened.

00:19He explained to me what was said, and at that moment, just finding out about him, how he is,

00:25and where he was in his headspace, and what he wanted us to do.

00:29So, yes, it will go down to process now. We'll see.

00:35I thought the officials were brilliant in terms of how they dealt with it.

00:38I thought they were spot on. I thought the way they handled it, and dealt with the whole situation,

00:43was first class to them.

00:45Did he want to come off? Did it look like a signal that he wanted to come off?

00:47No, he didn't. He didn't want to come off.

00:49Obviously, I was conscious. First time this ever happened to me as a coach.

00:52I've never been involved in a player reporting to me, or that incident taking place,

00:57so there was a lot of factors, what was going through my head.

01:00But he reacted in the right way, considering what was said.

01:04I honestly don't know. All I know is what Hannibal said to me.

01:09I've worked with Hannibal now for seven months, and don't get me wrong, he's an emotional guy,

01:17and he's a diamond of a kid, and he's not a liar.

01:21What he heard, and what he's repeated back to me, he doesn't want to see that.
