00:00I'm more comfortable when I'm spoken to as an actor.
00:04Superstar, you know, brings out a lot of the ego and a lot of the vibration is not a comfortable one.
00:13This is a really great time for cinema because it is a moment where we are recalibrating and
00:20we are growing. It's uncomfortable. It's kind of the place I like to be in, you know.
00:25Thank you for entertaining us, firstly, in 2020. I thought Vikram Vedha was your,
00:35I think your career's best. I could be wrong. Do you think that as well?
00:38It just makes me so happy when I hear something like this,
00:41especially because the film didn't do so well.
00:43It doesn't matter, does it? I don't think it does. Does it matter?
00:46As long as people remember your performances, right?
00:48Yeah, yeah. But I mean, box office also is a very important validation, you know,
00:53for the kind of film that I get empowered to do.
00:56Right.
00:57So when I hear words like this, it empowers me to do more films like that.
01:00Excellent.
01:01So thank you for that.
01:02No worries at all. And do you think 2023, he gave us all homo
01:06by posting a picture of yourself in a gym with six-pack abs. Everybody in my office,
01:11age no bar, they're like, how does he do it? How do you spill the secrets now? What did you do?
01:17To keep the motivation.
01:19It's a very boring secret. It's just discipline. That's it. I mean, it's so boring.
01:24That's why I think people don't do it because, you know, it's not cutting edge. It's not any
01:30high funda thing that you're doing. You know, it's the same old classic boring discipline.
01:37Right, right.
01:38That's what works.
01:39For sure. But you're also one of the most disciplined actors in Bollywood, for sure.
01:43Actually, I'm not. I'm one of the laziest. But I'm very aware that I'm lazy. So I keep myself
01:48disciplined. Otherwise, I'd just be lazy.
01:54Really? No, no, no. I find that difficult to believe because I see the kind of
01:58post that you put. I think you have a portrait of being inspirational without pushing it.
02:03I need to inspire myself so I then move. Otherwise, I wouldn't move. I am lazy. So
02:10I need to keep myself in check. And that's what I do well. I do that well.
02:14Right, right. Of course. And 2023 was a very exciting year for you. Fighters happening.
02:19And I do read a lot of posts about how difficult it is to be mentally prepared.
02:23You're having a tough time. How are you dealing with it?
02:26For Fighter, yeah. It's a Sid Anand film. And, you know, he's all about how everything looks,
02:35which includes the actors. So it's always tougher work when you have to, you know,
02:41you have to straddle the actor and the star. Sorry, I'm saying star for myself, but just to
02:47explain it. That's a lot more work, you know, in films like Vikram Veda and Super 30. I'm happy
02:55just being the actor. Right. But when you have to straddle both, you know, the star that people
03:00expect to see in a certain way and the acting, it gets a little hectic. It gets hectic.
03:08I think, honestly, I'm not sure if you are familiar with the volunteering. He's one of the
03:12last few men, superstars standing, so to speak. Do you think that because I think the Khans are
03:17there. Then there was a Roshan who came in and everybody was like, he's the next Khan, etc.
03:22I don't know. I'm more comfortable when I'm spoken to as an actor. Superstar,
03:28you know, brings out a lot of the ego and a lot of the vibration is not a comfortable one.
03:36Right, right. Yesterday I was editing a copy which said you completed 23 years with
03:41Kavona Pyare and the kid who was talking, the brother of yours, was talking about you being
03:46an inspiration. Did you expect to last this long? It's a long event. No, not when I started.
03:53No, no, no. I was hoping for passing marks, but I think the people gave me more than I deserved. So
04:02I try to make the best of it. Because it's not easy, right? Because Bollywood is going through
04:06such a different time, I think. We don't know what is working, what doesn't. You said Vikram
04:12Vedha didn't do so well, but I thought in my head he did well. So I didn't look at the numbers,
04:15but people are looking at the numbers. How are you surviving this rat race? You know,
04:20good times and bad times is a part of life. And in fact, if you ask me, there is no bad time. It's
04:26just feedback. And this is a really great time for cinema because it is a moment where we are
04:35recalibrating and we are growing. It's uncomfortable. It's kind of the place I like to be in,
04:42you know, because that's where growth happens. So it's all good. It's all good. And you have
04:47your own watch named after you. Do you feel like a star today? For sure. When something like this
04:52happens, you know, you get to enjoy being the star for a few minutes a day. And it's a good
05:03feeling. It's a good feeling because, I mean, simply because I'm such a big fan of Rado. And,
05:10you know, I look up to, I get inspired by, you know, their commitment that they have.
05:17And they just make the best watches. And then to have a collaboration like this, where I get
05:23to be a part of the watch, feels good. We are working 11 and a half years together. And my
05:29history was a professional motorcycle driver. And there, when you are not working very hard,
05:35you are absolutely lost. Because when you are 10, 15 possessions, you are no profit.
05:40You need to fight for the victory to be capable to maintain also the necessary material and
05:45destructive. And far from this point, I learned that you have to follow a discipline that talent
05:52is a small percentage. A lot of people have the talent. But to make a big performance, you need
05:58talent, maybe 5% talent and 95% hard work. And this I'm really happy to hear now from Rittik.
06:05It's the same in his business. You know, it was the same in my former business in the motorcycle
06:11races. And today, the watch industry is the same. And therefore, even Rittik was three years ago,
06:18in fact, in Langnau. And his attitude, his humble attitude to people, they have inspired them
06:25for all the years because they saw his superstar, he's come to us and he's considering us also as
06:31important person. And this makes, you know, the strength of collaboration. He is a superstar in
06:37his business. I suppose we are also, let's say, one of the biggest players in the watch industry.
06:44And finally, we are respecting each other and we are sharing the same values
06:51as exporters and now as managers of important big watch companies.
