Iraqi doctor's short visit to the UAE turns into a lifetime of fond memories

00:00I arrived to the United Arab Emirates in 1986 by special invitation to inspect

00:12nuclear medicine department in Tawam Hospital. I served in Al Ain for 18 years

00:19then I moved to Dubai as director of nuclear medicine for 15 years then I

00:26resigned went back to Iraq then I came back after a year I got a position as

00:33director of nuclear medicine in Burjil medical city. I built the nuclear

00:39medicine department from scratch and now it is very well developed nuclear

00:47medicine facility where they have SPECT, PET, radionuclide therapy, advanced

00:55treatment of cancers and other diseases. Treatment with radionuclide for cancer

01:03is something I'm interested in it and we are going to do some breakthrough in the

01:09management of cancer by nuclear medicine technique. 36 enjoyable years in a

01:17beautiful country and I was blessed by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala that directed

01:23me from West to my culture my country I love United Arab Emirates and I'm

01:30living there and I think my fate will be here.
