00:00I've been into business since 1980 myself.
00:03This is actually our fourth generation into business.
00:06My grandfather came into Dubai in 1958 when there was no electricity, no water.
00:11Even UAE was not formed and it was under British rule.
00:15So my father came from Dwarka, shipped to Karachi and then to Dubai.
00:19They started their career as a goldsmith.
00:22They used to work for one of the jeweller family in Bur Dubai.
00:28So there was no gold shop in Dera in those days.
00:32Only two or three stores were available in Bur Dubai which is just next to the water taxi, Agra we call it now.
00:40When you are in Dubai and the country is booming, I don't think there is some big challenges you have to face.
00:47The only thing you need is your focus, concentration and hard work.
00:52I am the fourth generation as my father said.
00:56I started working in the family business since 2013.
01:01Now that the pandemic has hit the entire world, a lot of changes have happened.
01:09There are less tourists of course.
01:11But if we still compare with last year, around March or April,
01:18everybody was fearing that there will be loss of business and we will face many difficulties.
01:26But I think Dubai has bounced back.
01:30We can hope and we can see that there will be some improvement shortly.
01:36There won't be a major change in our strategy as such.
01:40But definitely we will have to put more focus into our existing business
01:46and making sure we keep our clients happy.
