00:15The decision was made following a directive from the Philippine National Task Force against

00:22The Philippine government has also ordered international inbound arrivals at Manila's
00:26Ninoy Aquino International Airport shall be limited to a maximum of 1,500 passengers
00:32per day for all airlines combined from March 18 to April 19.
00:37The National Task Force noted that the Philippines has recorded on March 15 a total of 5,404
00:44new cases of COVID-19, the highest daily spike in the last six months.
00:48As a result, the Philippines will suspend the entry of foreign and returning overseas
00:53Filipino who are non-OFWs.
00:56There are exemptions, however, which include holders of 9C visas, medical repatriation
01:02and their escorts, distressed returning overseas Filipinos, emergency and humanitarian cases,
01:09and flight suspensions.
