No party in the unity govt agrees to proposal to split religious affairs portfolio, says PM

The proposal to split the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) portfolio was merely the personal opinion of Raub MP Chow Yu Hui, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Speaking to reporters after Friday prayers, the Prime Minister clarified that none of the parties in the unity government support the idea.

He further emphasised that ministerial appointments remain at the Prime Minister’s discretion.
