00:00University of the East's Red Warrior, Chris Gavina, was chosen as the new head coach of their men's basketball team.

00:07This was announced by Kuponan this Thursday at the contract signing held at the university.

00:12According to UE President Sosimo Batan, Gavina's experience as a mentor in local and international leagues,

00:19including his stint at PBA for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and Taichung Suns in the Taiwanese League,

00:27Gavina will try to lead UE to reach the Final Four, which is more than a decade ahead of the Red Warriors.

00:57I'm proud of my work ethic and just a pure pride of who we represent as a team and this community.
