00:05because of their leader, Mirna Solarte, alias Maria Malaya.

00:10According to AFP chief, General Romeo Browner Jr.,

00:13it will be difficult for the NPA to deal with their other accomplices

00:18now that Maria Malaya has been killed.

00:21Maria Malaya was killed by soldiers in an encounter in Barangay Pianinga, Butuan City last Wednesday.

00:29Browner also praised the bravery and dedication of the soldiers and the support of the civilians

00:35that led to a successful operation against Maria Malaya.

00:40In spite of this, Browner insisted that the military will continue the fight

00:45for the security of the country.
