00:00Hello viewers, we are in the home of Muna Kamil Mohammed and Mohammed Imara, a couple

00:07with three kids who have a family of 16 people here right now visiting them from various

00:13places.

00:14They are extended families and they are celebrating Ramadan in the true spirit.

00:21They are from Cairo, Egypt and they live here in Dubai and they made a beautiful home and

00:28they follow all the traditions of Egypt, they follow their mother's recipes, Muna and her

00:33mother cook for everyone every day in the evening and they really and truly enjoy the

00:39spirit of Ramadan when they end the fast every evening and have an Iftar with this extended

00:45family.

00:46It's a joyous occasion and we are going to ask Muna about the secret recipes and the

00:51traditions that she follows to have a very fulfilling and satisfying Iftar and Suhoor.

00:57In Ramadan, we always like to celebrate the holy months together, so I have my family

01:03visiting me from Kuwait, my brothers and his wife and my sister and her kids.

01:10We like to celebrate the months, the spirit of Ramadan together like, you know, fast together,

01:16eat together, pray together.

01:17We like also to cook our, like follow our tradition and cook our recipes which my mommy

01:24used to teach me how to do it, so that's why we always like to stay together to celebrate

01:33the spirit of the holy months of Ramadan.

01:35As a tradition, we always have the soup, that's where we are starting our course and today

01:41we have Mahshi.

01:43This Mahshi is actually the old tradition Egyptian food.

01:47Mahshi, actually, it's stuffed rice in like different kinds, in eggplant and in kosa and

02:00we have also today in the pepper, we have potatoes and salad, so we have different kinds

02:13with chicken.

02:16We have Arabic sweets and we usually eat fruits because it gives us like more watery

02:23and helps us to fast.
