00:26We have over 950 Emirati authors participating with their books over here within our book

00:33There is over 30 Emirati publishing houses.
00:36Between them, a lot of them wrote in Arabic or wrote in English or in different languages.
00:41This is an amazing exhibition that started from the 21st until the 24th, from 9pm until
00:48midnight every day in the Sharjah Book Authority.
00:51I would like everyone to come and to attend this exhibition and to enjoy the Emirati literature

01:03We are here addressing the second year of the Emirati Book Fair.
01:07I'm really happy to see this celebration and support for all the Emirati publishers, Emirati
01:13authors, looking around and seeing as much as possible of the Emirati books, whether
01:18they're academic books or fiction, non-fiction.
01:22This is a huge celebration for who we are.
01:25It gets back to our identity and as Sharjah is always one of the pioneers in celebrating
01:31literature, whether it's Emirati or taking the Emirati authors to the next level of introducing
01:38them worldwide or globally to international authors.
01:43I think this is one of the things that we will be seeing in the years, upcoming years,
01:49whether it's the 3rd or 4th or even 10th year of the Emirati Book Fair, I guess we'll see
01:54more translations of the Emirati books, more celebrations globally too.
