00:002014, on invitation of Sharjah and his highness, had an idea to do an African park.
00:18So we already had the Africa idea.
00:20When we stepped into this area, we just fell in love with the opportunity to work here
00:25because we felt it was already so close looking to Africa.
00:29We already had a basic landscape of Akazia shrubland that was very much as we can find
00:35in the northeast of Africa.
00:36So we're very happy there.
00:37It will be a very exciting day, trip you can make, and very close to home for some, and
00:44hopefully inspirationally so important that people will also, and that's for me and for
00:50us I think most important, really fall in love with nature, with wildlife, create this
00:56kind of passion for conservation and appreciation of the beauty and the importance of animals
01:03and plants in the world we live in.
01:04The safari is 860 hectares in total.
01:09There are nine sections.
01:11The first section is into Africa, which has all the Indian Ocean islands and the animals
01:18that come from those areas.
01:21The first safari section is the Sahel, which is North Africa.
01:27We then have the savannah, which is the grasslands of central and southern Africa.
01:31Then there is safari camp, which is a focused area from a very small area in central southern
01:38Africa.
01:39We then have Ngorongoro, which is a unique habitat in Kenya where we have the key species,
01:45the black rhino.
01:47We have the Moremi, which is for giraffe.
01:51The visitors are on the safari vehicles driven by our guides that have been trained how to
01:57handle the animals.
01:58The animals are used to the vehicles, so as long as people are staying on the vehicles,
02:04they are perfectly safe.
02:05The park opens at 8.30 in the morning and the last safari is 2.30 in the afternoon so
02:11that we have time to get back before the park closes at 6.30.
