03:36None of the batsmen got going. In fact, I felt they missed a trick by sending Livingston a bit late

03:45That's why 160 on this score was a par score. It was not a match winning score

04:05See, make no mistake. This is the T20 Games. Any team could win in the sense like the team who does better on that particular given day win
04:24And this loss does not reflect the quality of England actually. They are still a strong side
04:29Even without three big players like Ben Stokes, Sam Curran and Joffre Archer, they are still a strong side and they showed in the group games here
04:43In fact, the only loss they suffered against South Africa was a narrow loss if you compare it
04:48They were chasing 189 if I remember right. They missed it very very narrowly which shows the quality of the side
04:57So this loss is not an embarrassment for them. It's just that New Zealand played a little better than England today and that mattered in the end
05:09Owen Morgan was very gracious and defeated the end as well because I think he knows that we can go home with our head held high
05:18And they have given their all and as he said, they were beaten on the day by a better team
05:23And I think that's a fair representation of what happened. It was just that they didn't get the breaks and the things going for them as sometimes they had done before
05:33Oh yes, Morgan is a great captain. He has led England well from 2015 if you see the turnaround which has happened in England
05:40And they are very gracious in admitting that they started playing this cricket which they followed following New Zealand
05:47They learned from the great Brendan McCullum and that is how England changed their style of cricket
05:52And yes, today let me be very honest. Things would have been different had England been chasing
05:56Okay, they didn't have Jason Roy but batting second has been easier compared to batting first in all the matches
06:03And you've seen most of the results batting one or two matches which probably we saw that South Africa defending
06:08But by that time England had already qualified so I wouldn't look much into that match
06:14But batting second is a big big advantage because when you bat first the wicket is a bit sluggish
06:19And as I said, they did not get a good start and 160 was a score which was not a match winning score
06:26It was a par score but not a match winning score and that is where England lost the game
06:31Okay, and now there is one little advantage that New Zealand also have other than the confidence
06:36And that is they've got an extra day to rest ahead of the final
06:39Whereas Australia and Pakistan have got to play tomorrow
06:42So do you think they'll just take a day's rest or they'll get back to the practice nets and they'll keep going
06:48And try to keep everything just as it is ahead of the final?

06:57Actually, I don't think those things matter unless it's a prolonged break
07:03These things don't matter. These are professional sportsmen
07:06They know how to go around these kind of issues
07:10So I don't think that extra day's rest would matter unless it's a long drawn match
07:16It's a very heavily draining match either emotionally and physically
07:20If it happens, yes, then that extra day of rest would help
07:23But otherwise, especially in this case, I don't think it would matter
