00:00So, for those of you who haven't done it, I think it's important with the clubs being
00:11bigger they're going to travel a lot faster, hence why we need to warm up with the shorter
00:16stuff so we'll have a proper warm up. We'll have a look and see you with maybe a mid or
00:22short iron. Whatever the problem is with the shorter stuff, as the club gets bigger it's
00:27just going to magnify and increase the problem. If for example you're hitting your 7 iron
00:32and it moves 10 metres to the right with the 7, by the time you get a 3 wood, 5 wood driver
00:37in your hand it's going to be more like 50 metres to 60 metres. Over time, through instruction,
00:46you will train and strengthen the golf muscles and you'll get more coordinated which will
00:51then reduce the issues as it were and make you absolutely outstanding, wonderful golfers.
01:01First of all, because the club's longer and travelling faster, we want to make our feet
01:07wider to give ourselves a more stable base. Second of all, we're going to position the
01:12ball inside of the left foot. This is basically to encourage us to hit the ball on the up
01:18swing. Because there's not much angle on these clubs, you want to hit them on the up
01:23swing to encourage them to fly higher. And third and finally, the speed of the swing.
01:30You have to build up slowly. If you swing these clubs back quickly, the weight and momentum
01:36of the club is just going to pull you out of position. They'll end up swinging you instead
01:41of you swinging them.
