00:00Elon Musk has called for the U.S. to delete entire agencies from the federal government
00:06as part of his ongoing campaign to reduce spending and realign its priorities.
00:12We do need to delete entire agencies as opposed to leave part of them behind, because if you
00:20leave part of them behind, it's easy, it's kind of like leaving a weed, if you don't
00:26remove the roots of the weed, then it's easy for the weed to grow back.
00:29Speaking during a video call with the World Government Summit in Dubai,
00:34the tech billionaire went on to claim the U.S. currently prioritizes the rule of bureaucracy
00:39over the rule of the people, criticizing what he called over-regulation and calling for a reset.
00:46Musk also expressed a more isolationist view on U.S. global relations,
00:51stating that the new administration is less focused on involving itself in the
00:56affairs of other nations. Musk has spoken at the summit before,
01:01but his recent appearance comes as he's consolidated control over much of the government
01:06in his new role as head of the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency.
