This is how UAE’s first astronaut in space will the reach the International Space Station

The rocket that will take the world’s first Emirati astronaut into space will be launched tomorrow at 5:56pm UAE time from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

00:29And liftoff.

00:50The orbital module, the descent module, and the instrument compartment.

00:55Each compartment has a different architecture and a specific purpose.

01:00The orbital module, or living compartment, is equipped with sleeping bags, food, and

01:05a toilet.

01:09So here we are in the Soyuz.

01:10This is what we call the VET-O, the living compartment, VIT-DO-BOY-AT-SEK in Russian.

01:16It also has a little bathroom.

01:18It's not as good as the other bathrooms, so we try not to use it too much.

01:22It has drinking water in it if we need something to drink.

01:25And then, of course, it's filled up with a lot of cargo for us.

01:30The instrument compartment, not accessible to the astronauts, houses the oxygen and propellant

01:35tanks, thrusters, the on-board computer, and a number of sensors.

01:41From the descent module, the three crew members monitor all information about the spacecraft

01:45and the ISS from ground data, the on-board computers, and an optical display of the view

01:51from a periscope mounted on the outside.
