00:00Good morning, this is Janice Ponce de Leon reporting for Gulf News live from
00:04the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia. Behind me is the
00:10Russian segment of the International Space Station. It is a mock-up facility
00:14where our very own Emirati reserve astronaut Sultan Alniadi along with his
00:19crewmates are taking their final exam. This is day two of the two-day mandatory
00:24final exam for all the for the primary and the secondary crew or the reserve
00:29crew who will be launched to space on the September 25. So their trip to the
00:35International Space Station is on September 25. They'll be on board the
00:40Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft but before they are launched to space they have to prove
00:47that they are ready for their spaceflight. So that's the reason why we
00:50have the exams right here. So earlier we saw Hassa Al-Mansouri, our very own Hassa
00:56Al-Mansouri, the first Emirati astronaut and his crewmates NASA astronaut
01:00Jessica Mair and Russian commander Oleg Skripochka as they entered the mock-up
01:06of the Soyuz MS capsule MS-15 spacecraft. So the exam will take a full day.
01:13Yesterday Sultan and his crewmates did the Soyuz exam and then today they're
01:19doing the ISS and then they just switched it so that both teams can do
01:23both exams in two days. We'll know the results hopefully later on or maybe in
01:28the coming days or tomorrow. We'll let you know about the results. For more
01:33updates on the UAE astronaut program and the journey of Hassa to space log on to
