We’re asking people around Newport whether they’ve struggled with the NHS in recent months, with waiting times in Wales setting more records every month.

00:00And I remember I waited about, like, six months before I could actually go have surgery on my foot.

00:06Because every time I'd go in, every single doctor wasn't telling the next doctor what was wrong.

00:14I'd have, like, appointments upon appointments.

00:17But they'd be like, OK, so what's wrong?

00:19And I'd be like, I told the other nurse.

00:23The NHS is a godsend for people in the UK, and it does have problems.

00:29I believe both the Labour Party and the Conservatives, for years and years,

00:34have defunded it to try to move over to a private system like we have in America.

00:40And don't do it. Please don't do it.

00:42So you press that button, bang on eight o'clock, oh, you're number 19 in the queue.

00:46Oh, you're number 29 in the queue.

00:48And then by the time you get there, sorry, no appointments today.

00:51Ring back tomorrow. That's happened three days on the trot this week.

00:54Like, Friday, Monday and yesterday.

00:57And it's a lot of time that you spend waiting, isn't it?
