00:00So why would GoPro put out a hero camera in 2018 that only records at 1080p at 60 frames a second?
00:09Well market share seems to be the best answer. It's called the GoPro Hero. Over the last 15 years
00:15this durable little camera has become everyone's favorite to capture their favorite outdoor sporting accidents and other types of natural
00:23disasters including crashing on bikes or running into each other on the jogging track.
00:27It's all kinds of fun and over the years GoPro has made it lighter,
00:32smaller, and easier for us to capture these moments and get them on the web. The Hero 6 Black which just came out in
00:382017 can record in 4k at up to 30 frames per second. The new Hero sells for about
00:45850 Durham while the Hero 6 sells for over
00:491,300. So if you've been thinking about getting a GoPro to go out and play around with this might be the time to do it.
00:54Although if you're a camera aficionado looking for a higher-end
00:58picture you may want to hold off until we get another 4k version coming out on the market.
01:04GoPro is banking on the idea that most of you will just upload this video to YouTube anyway
01:10which you're not going to do in 4k and so they're doing you the favor early of saving you the bandwidth. Whether or not
01:16that's a good thing, that's up to you. If you're going to get it, we hope you enjoy it.
