00:00I really enjoyed my first experience on Now You See Me and then I was pregnant, unfortunately, when we shot number two.
00:06So I was thrilled when Bobby Cohen shot me an email saying, call me, I've got good news.
00:11And just all the pieces had come together, that we still had original writers, but equally with new female writers adding to sort of, you know, texture to the female characters as well as the male.
00:22And then just that we had Ruben Fleischer, who's obviously a big coo, not just in the comedy world, but in the action world.
00:27And so all the elements came together and I just was really happy to inhabit Henley Reeves again and just circle back to my old friend, the Horseman.
00:39So we've stayed in our sort of grounded reality magic-wise, but equally we've got these incredible sets, these incredible stunts, these incredible new characters.
00:48And Ruben really uses all of the budget in front of the camera.
00:53And so you can see the enormity and the magnitude, the scope of the location.
01:00Some of the magic house that we shot at, they built this incredible castle with a library that is where Morgan Freeman's character is based out of.
01:09And it's just been so fantastic and kind of, you know, magical and so much more heightened and more exciting than number one and two.
01:19And I think fans of the original movies are going to love it and I think we're going to have a whole new fan base when they see this.
01:25Well, what was so great about number three is we have two fantastic, actually three fantastic magicians.
01:31And it's a love letter to magic.
01:33They taught us all the tricks.
01:35Everyone worked so hard.
01:37And actually, I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there's one specific scene in the movie that was shot in one take where we all do our characters' magical skills.
01:45So I'm an escapologist.
01:47Merit is a hypnotist.
01:48Atlas is a sleight of hand.
01:50Jack is a scape also, but he does a lot of the other sleight of hand stuff too.
01:55So I think there's one moment.
01:56And then we have our new baby magicians.
01:59I call them the ponies because they're not horsemen yet.
02:02And the ponies come in and do what they do best.
02:04So I have a quick change.
02:06She does this incredible, Ariana does this incredible fan trick.
02:10And it was just really exciting.
02:11We also had like a bunch of magician influencers come on set to not just help promote the movie, but for us to see other examples of different styles of magic from different places around the world.
02:22And I just think for anyone, even people who are not interested in magic, it's such an incredible skill.
02:28And it takes so much hard work and it involves so, so much dexterity, but also so much misdirection and so much sort of psychological, you know, almost like mind games with your audience that it's not dissimilar from acting.
02:43So I think all of us as actors really embrace the challenge.
02:46I play Henley Reeves and she is a escape artist, but she originated as a assistant to Daniel Atlas, played by Jesse Eisenberg, which is why they have this sort of cute camaraderie competition thing where she's always trying to assert her autonomy.
03:02And now she comes back in the third movie and she's a mom and she has all this other responsibility, but she still feels a calling for the eye and a calling for the mission.
03:12And she still loves magic and she wants to be back with the gang again because there's a certain goal that they need to reach and meet and they can only achieve it when all the horsemen come together and agree to this task.
03:25So it's a bit, it's a bit like if you accept this mission, you know, you are on till the end.
03:30And so she does that.
03:31And it's such a fun role to re-inhabit.
03:35The ponies have been so sweet.
03:38I instantly fell in love with Dom.
03:40I just find him to be so charming and like, I just, we straight away connected.
03:46And, um, and Justice, I got to meet a little later.
03:49We went on a really fun bike ride.
03:50And then Ariana, I just, I mean, my daughters love her from Barbie and she's just the sweetest.
03:56She does Tik Toks and sings and she's just the cutest.
03:59I'm excited for what the future holds.
04:02I was the most excited going into those magic rooms and just the specificity of it.
04:09Like you'd see Houdini's straitjacket and then like the library books would fall down simultaneously and a huge door would open.
04:17And there's a room where you're really small at one end and really tall at the other.
04:21And then another one where it spins.
04:22I mean, it sounds like I'm, you know, talking nonsense, but these rooms existed and they're like built to perfection.
04:29I think the set designers on this movie and the creatives on this have done the most extraordinary job.
04:35And it's been absolutely mind-boggling.
04:39I think Sophie did the most amazing job on this movie because all the characters needed to look kind of cool and monochromatic.
04:48And then the young characters had to have their own sort of like retro, unusual, quirky, younger vibe.
04:56But we all have to fit into this palette of like magic.
05:00There can't be any bright colors.
05:02There can't be anything too contrasty.
05:04It can't feel heightened because we've already got, you know, the tricks are our, the thing that we want to pop.
05:09And so I think she just found a way of individually creating different looks for all of the characters.
05:14But we all sort of came together in a very muted, classic, cool and beautiful way.
05:20I think she's amazing.
05:23There is so much scale and scope and spectacle in this movie specifically with the magic and with the action.
05:30The action, we have car chases, incredible car chases.
05:33We have got jumping and ziplining and heights and boats and water tanks and helicopters and roof jumps.
05:44And, I mean, I could, it's like as much action as a mission impossible.
05:50But it's a character-driven piece with this wonderful backdrop as a love letter to magic.
05:56Really this story is about family.
05:58And it's the fact that not everyone's born with a family that feels like a family.
06:04And some people make their own family as they get older.
06:07And it's however their family looks to you that is your community, that gives you comfort, that is your people.
06:13And that's what these guys do.
06:15They come together.
06:16And for Bosco and, you know, for the young horse ponies, they are their own family.
06:21And for the older horsemen, we become their family.
06:24And there's something very beautiful about that message.
06:28I'm so excited that Abu Dhabi has embraced this because, like, this hotel is like the Orlando of the Middle East.
06:35Yeah, it's just incredible, like, that beautiful Arab hospitality where they're so welcoming and so inclusive.
06:41And I was actually born in Muscat in Oman.
06:44And so the ocean outside of my hotel is an Omani ocean.
06:48So I feel like I'm with my people.
06:51This is like, you know, I was born in, you know, an Arab country.
06:57And I keep saying shukran, habibi, and inshallah.
07:01And I just feel like it's just been really great food and just nice to be together.
