00:09The most destructive wildfire raging in Southern California has expanded significantly, scorching
00:16an area larger than New York City. The Thomas Fire in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties
00:21has consumed 230,000 acres since it broke out on December 4th. Fanned by strong winds,
00:29it has become the fifth largest wildfire in recorded state history after it grew by more
00:35than 50,000 acres in a day.
00:38Abu Dhabi police have started issuing new permanent vehicle registration cards from
00:43this month. Now, motorists do not need to visit Vehicle Licensing Department offices
00:49for renewals each year, but an SMS will alert them of their license's expiry, and they can
00:55renew it online or at the Ministry of Interior's kiosk.
00:59Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho became involved in a physical confrontation with
01:05Manchester City's players after complaining about their post-Derby celebrations, according
01:10to British media. Reports said Mourinho went to City's changing room following United's
01:162-1 defeat at Old Trafford because he felt their noisy celebrations were disrespectful.
01:22The newspapers reported Mourinho had a verbal altercation with City goalkeeper Edison before
01:28having water and milk thrown at him by City's players and being hit on the head with a plastic
01:34bottle.
01:35In the UAE, European champions Real Madrid have arrived in Abu Dhabi ahead of their Club
01:40World Cup semi-final against the capital's Al Jazeera. They will train in the city tonight.
01:47Five Arab filmmakers were awarded $60,000 in funding, along with partnership opportunities
01:53with the Dubai Film Connection, the co-production market of the Dubai International Film Festival.
