00:08The UAE government has announced the establishment of a legal system for venture capital funds.
00:14The move comes as part of the first batch of government accelerator projects launched
00:18last year by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and
00:23Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai.
00:26Removing the fine print governing venture capital funds is the result of a strong partnership
00:31between the public and private sector, said Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of
00:36Economy.
00:37A senior member of the Israeli embassy staff in the UK was secretly filmed saying he wanted
00:42to take down Foreign Office Minister Sir Alan Duncan. Sir Alan, who has been critical of
00:47Israel, was seen as more of a problem than Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, who was quote
00:53unquote, basically good, according to a transcript of the conversation.
00:57He just doesn't care. He's an idiot, but has become Minister of Foreign Affairs without
01:02any responsibilities, says the transcript.
01:05In sport, Novak Djokovic brought world number one Andy Murray's 28-match winning streak
01:10to an end in Doha last night to retain the Qatar Open title in a three-set thriller.
