00:00The Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority has launched a new book titled

00:17Imaratia UAE's Inspiring Women to celebrate the Emirati Women's Day. The special edition book

00:23documents the inspiring journey of 24 Emirati women who have made contributions to the

00:28development of the UAE in different domains such as economic, cultural, scientific and social.

00:36It's a beautiful collection of biographies of 24 amazing women who have done incredible things to

00:43change the United Arab Emirates from across professions across the country. It details

00:48their life, their background, what they've managed to achieve. The unsung heroes of the country from

00:53all over, from each of the seven emirates, amazing women who have done incredible things.

00:58Reem Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Chairwoman of the Federal

01:03Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, unveiled the book on Sunday in an event at the Jumeirah

01:08Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai. Some of the women featured in the book joined the launched event,

01:13along with the independent judging panel that work on the selection criteria.

01:18We are a simple outcome for what mothers and sisters earlier they've done. So that is a big

01:25responsibility forward where we have to make sure the road is smoother for the ladies who's coming

01:30after us. We have to always remember the essential partnership between Emirati women and Emirati

01:36guys, gentlemen. It was really the main equation of the success in the United Arab Emirates where

01:43women she understands and she knows her limits and the limits of the women is not the sky,

01:49it's the universe overall. Being part of the book is just a real honour. The women who are

01:55included in the book are just outstanding and there are so many women in the UAE who are forging

02:02pioneering paths in what they're doing. So it's a great honour. The younger generation

02:08are absolutely fantastic in terms of how they are doing. They're all educating. There's far

02:14more women graduating than men. There's far more women going to university. There's far more women

02:19going into the labour force and there are women taking risks in jobs that women haven't done

02:25before and that is all happening here with Emirati women. So you know it's fantastic.

02:30UAE Women's Day recognizes the contributions of women to the sustainable progress of the country.
