00:00Welcome to day three here at the Dubai International Film Festival.

00:11Almost halfway through the week and it's the busiest day yet.

00:1422 films on offer across Dubai today including five which have links to the UAE.

00:18That's either cast or crew.

00:20Perhaps unsurprisingly there's also a strong Bollywood presence here at DIFF

00:24and two of the biggest names in Indian cinema were in town today to talk about their thoughts.

00:28Legendary Indian actor Anil Kapoor and one of the hottest properties around,

00:32the star of Madras Cafe, John Abraham.

00:35Yeah, I like interacting with fans. I like interacting with an audience.

00:39Let me call them an audience, okay?

00:41Because everybody in that audience doesn't necessarily have to be a fan.

00:44And I'm absolutely okay with that and I love interacting with an audience.

00:49Assuming that they are fans would be very narcissistic.

00:52So I think they're an audience and I love to interact with them

00:55just to understand what they feel about where we are going in the kind of cinema that we are doing.

01:02Welcome is not a kind of film you should take it seriously.

01:04It's not a great film. It's not an intellectual film.

01:06It's a film that you buy the ticket, come with your family, buy a few popcorns, samosas,

01:12come and sit down, have a few laughs, enjoy and go to sleep.

01:16Forget all your fears, the stress, what you have and you'll forget.

01:19Generally you'll forget about it. You can see it again and again.

01:21And it's one of those films you don't have to see it from the beginning.

01:24Even if you miss 20 minutes.

01:25That's not saying much about the movie.

01:27Why not?

01:28Also on show on day three is Paper Planes starring Avatar actor Sam Worthington.

01:33Another one to watch is Shelter, a poignant drama starring Jennifer Connelly.

01:36It's also the first time British actor Paul Bettany has written and directed.

01:41The most surprising thing is that you may have very, very little money.

01:48But if you have a wealth of riches in your cast,

01:55they're going to be able to make you look like you know what you're doing.

01:58Now as you'd expect, we're used to seeing a lot of glamour here on the red carpet at DIFF,

02:02but one person in particular has been stealing the limelight this year.

02:05European actress and model Olga Kurylenko starred alongside Daniel Craig

02:09as a Bond girl in Quantum of Solace in 2008.

02:12She's in town in Dubai promoting her latest film, The Water Diviner.

02:16Well, Russell sent me the script and he said,

02:20read it, see what female part you like.

02:25And, you know, I read it, I said it's wonderful, I love the character.

02:29And the next question was, well, how fast can you learn Turkish?

02:35So, of course, I said, oh, very fast.

02:38And then I thought, I'll think about it later.

02:40Looking forward to tomorrow and it's the big one, Super Saturday,

02:43with over 30 films on show across Dubai.
